My career took a drastic positive turn in 2007 when I enrolled first for a Certificate in Economic Foundations of Trade and Trade Policy, then subsequently, the prestigious Master of Science Degree in International Trade Policy and Trade Law. This enhanced my understanding of international trade and put me a step ahead of most of my colleagues at my place of work then, the Uganda Investment Authority, in terms of appreciation of analytical approaches in the economics of trade and international trade policies and laws.
The attainment of the MSc. International Trade Policy and Trade Law greatly contributed to my being offered the position of Principal Economist responsible for Investment and Private Sector Promotion at the East African Community Headquarters in Arusha, Tanzania.
