Official Opening of the Economic Diplomacy Training Programme

ESAMI-trapca was honoured to host the official opening of the Economic Diplomacy Training Programme for Uganda’s Trade Attachés

The occasion was graced by H.E. Ambassador Anne Katusiime, Uganda’s Consul General in Arusha 🎖️, and Commissioner Cleopas Ndorere, Commissioner for External Trade at Uganda’s Ministry of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives.

The specialised programme is being implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through the Uganda Consulate General in Arusha.

The training is designed to strengthen the capacity of Uganda’s Trade Attachés to serve as effective:

  • Commercial diplomats
  • Market intelligence officers
  • Investment facilitators
  • Strategic negotiators
  • Partnership builders

Through practical and applied learning, participants will strengthen their ability to promote Uganda’s exports, attract and facilitate investment, identify market opportunities, address market-access barriers and advance Uganda’s economic interests in regional and international markets.

The official opening highlighted the critical role of Uganda’s foreign missions in translating national trade, investment and development priorities into measurable commercial and development outcomes.

ESAMI-trapca appreciates the Government of Uganda, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the Uganda Consulate General in Arusha for their leadership and partnership in developing a new generation of results-oriented economic diplomats
